From the monetary review of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the period from December 2022 to June 2024.

Net external assets at the end of June, 2024 amounted to 47.6 trillion tenge, which is 5.3 trillion tenge higher compared to December, 2022. Net international reserves showed significant fluctuations during the analyzed period. In December, 2022, they amounted to 15.3 trillion tenge, reaching a maximum of 17.9 trillion tenge in June, 2024.
The assets of the National Fund also demonstrated stable growth. In December, 2022, they amounted to 25.8 trillion tenge, increasing to 28.9 trillion tenge by June, 2024. Net domestic assets remained negative throughout the period, indicating a predominance of liabilities over assets within the country. In December, 2022, this indicator was -29.7 trillion tenge, worsening to -33.9 trillion tenge by June, 2024.
The narrow monetary base showed a decrease from 7.4 trillion tenge in December, 2022 to 6.8 trillion tenge in June, 2024. The main decline was observed in the first half of 2023, after which the indicator stabilized.
The liabilities of the National Bank decreased from 12.6 trillion tenge in December, 2022 to 13.6 trillion tenge in June, 2024. The main decrease was observed in the first quarter of 2024, indicating a reduction in debt. Overall, the analysis of the monetary review of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan shows positive dynamics in terms of the growth of external assets and international reserves.
